Greg L. Davis was born and raised in Austin, Texas. In his sophomore year in high school, Greg discovered both a gifting and interest in writing, and it was at that time he developed the discipline of journaling. In his mid-20s, Greg began to experiment with writing poetry and would eventually start a tradition of crafting poems for family members, most notably his wife La Tonya, on special occasions.

After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Texas, San Antonio, Greg spent 14 years in corporate America before serving as an associate pastor for 15 months. During those years, Greg was frequently chosen to write organizational communication pieces and, in late 1998, he took a nine-month sabbatical from the corporate world to serve as a grant writer for a child welfare agency in Chicago. Around 2010, Greg began putting together a fictional piece of writing which he would eventually seek to self-publish.
